Usually ready in 2 hoursSchramsberg made history when its Blanc de Blancs was poured at President Nixon's 1972 Toast to Peace in China, the first American wine served at such a state occasion, and the house has been poured by every administration since. First produced in 1965, it was America's first commercially made Chardonnay-based brut. This North Coast cuvee is crafted entirely from Chardonnay and aged on the lees for richness, offering crisp green apple and citrus with a creamy hint of toasted brioche and a clean, mineral finish.
