Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Return & Exchange Policy.

All captions, titles, or section headings are for ease of reference only. Wherever the word "including" or "include" appears, it shall be construed to mean "including without limitation."


Warehouse Location

All orders ship from our warehouse located in New York.


Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance must be purchased at checkout in order to cover lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.


Handling & Transit Time

  • Orders require 1–2 business days for handling and preparation before shipping.
  • All times referenced are Eastern Standard Time (EST).
  • Once shipped, orders typically arrive within 5–8 business days.
  • Holiday seasons or out-of-stock items may result in delays.
  • Spillage, minor damage, and cosmetic defects may occur during transit. Whiskey Library is not responsible for minor damage.
  • Whiskey Library is not responsible for lost shipments, including packages lost due to delivery holds or rescheduling requests.

Order Timing

  • Orders placed Monday–Friday typically arrive within 5–8 business days.
  • Ground orders placed before 4:00 PM EST ship same business day when possible.
  • Orders placed after business hours on Friday or on weekends ship the following Monday.

Shipping Restrictions

  • We ship within the United States only.
  • We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

Age Requirement

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to place an order.
  • An adult (21+) signature is required upon delivery.

Customer Responsibility

The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.


Shipment Method & Delivery

  • Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, destination, and method.
  • Adult (21+) signature required upon delivery.
  • Customers must inspect orders immediately. Missing or incorrect items must be reported within three (3) business days of delivery.
  • For incorrect shipments, please email a photo of the sealed bottle and your order number to support@whiskeylibrary.com.
  • If you do not receive a response within 14 days, please follow up from a different email address if possible.

Failed Delivery & Returns

  • If a package is returned due to failed delivery, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If free shipping was used, $35 will be deducted.
  • If a package is returned damaged due to refusal or failed delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for the full cost of the order.

Order Cancellations

  • Customers have two (2) hours from order placement to request cancellation by emailing support@whiskeylibrary.com.
  • After this window, cancellations are at our sole discretion.

Address Changes

  • Address change requests must be submitted promptly.
  • While we will make a good-faith effort to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee success. Any fees incurred will be passed on to the customer.

Purchase of Alcoholic Beverages

By placing an order, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 21 years old.
  • You authorize Whiskey Library to charge your payment method for the full order amount.
  • All purchases are for personal consumption only and not for resale.

Title to Goods

Alcohol shipping laws vary by jurisdiction. Title to alcoholic beverages purchased on this Site passes to the customer in New York once the goods are picked up by the common carrier and payment has been fully processed.


Shipping Laws & Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all state and local laws regarding the receipt of alcoholic beverages. By purchasing from Whiskey Library, you:

  • Represent that you are legally permitted to receive the shipment.
  • Authorize Whiskey Library to arrange shipping on your behalf.
  • Agree to indemnify and hold harmless Whiskey Library and its affiliates from any legal claims arising from shipment to your jurisdiction.

Whiskey Library makes no representations regarding the legality of alcohol shipment to your location.


Change in Shipping Laws

  • If shipping laws change prior to shipment and make delivery illegal, you may request a refund with appropriate legal documentation.
  • Once an order ships and title has passed, no refunds will be issued.

Sales Tax

  • Applicable state and local sales tax will be collected as required by law.
  • Customers are responsible for any additional local taxes imposed by their jurisdiction.

Out-of-Stock Items

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, you will be refunded for the out-of-stock portion of your order.


Damaged Items

Orders are securely packaged using durable boxes and protective materials. Packaging methods may vary based on bottle shape or manufacturer packaging.

During extreme weather conditions, customers must notify Whiskey Library if they wish to delay shipment.


All Sales Are Final

Orders that have not yet shipped may be refunded at our discretion and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.


Limitation of Liability

Whiskey Library shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages. Any liability is limited to the total dollar amount of the order placed.


Disclaimer of Warranties

All information on this Website is provided "AS IS", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.


Force Majeure

Whiskey Library shall not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, labor disputes, carrier disruptions, or governmental actions.


Severability

If any provision of this Shipping Policy is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
