Usually ready in 2 hoursThis California straight rye comes from Savage & Cooke, the Mare Island distillery founded by Napa winemaker Dave Phinney on a historic naval shipyard between the Bay and wine country. Rye grown within fifty miles of the distillery ages at least three years in new charred American oak, then rests in Grenache wine barrels where Phinney's winemaking eye adds a distinctive red-fruit lift. Bottled at 100 proof, it weaves peppery rye spice with dark berry and toasted oak into a long, warming pour that bridges the worlds of grain and grape.
